  Understanding the Fundamentals of a PBSP Structure: The Body's Story
  

  Presented by Curt Levang, Ph.D. L.P. PBSP trainer

  This two-day experiential training introduces participants to the foundations of PBSP (Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor) therapy through the body's symbolic language.  Based on the book, "The Body's Story," participants will explore the gateways that lead to understanding unmet developmental needs and how PBSP structures create corrective emotional experiences.  A major theme will be how the body remembers - and how to listen to its story.

  The training will include lecture, demonstrations, and group practice.

  By the end of this training, participants will:

  -Recognize the symbolic meaning of key body areas in PBSP

  -Practice usning witness and ideal figures to meet unmet needs

  -Understand the building blocks of a PBSP structure

  -Learn how to anchor antidotal moments for lasting reparative healing.

  This is the third module of training in the foundations PBSP psychotherapy, which includes the experiential practice of witnessing, identifying "voices," making reversals, putting out placeholders and bookmarks.  This training is open to anyone who has had some training in PBSP (not suitable for people completely new to PBSP).  Numbers are limited.

  Cancelation Policy: Cancelations received 5 days or more prior to the training will receive a full refund, minus a $10 administrative fee. Cancelations made less than 5 days before the training will be eligible for a 50% refund minus a $10 administrative fee. In the event you cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another participant with advance notice to the USPBSPA by emailing info@pbspamericaconnect.org. In the unlikely event that USPBSPA must cancel or reschedule the training, all registration fees will be fully refunded.

  This 5 day intensive PBSP training with PBSP Trainer and USPBSPA President Jim Amundsen, PhD, is taking place on the unique and beautiful shores of Lake Superior in northern Minnesota.  This event will not be suited for complete beginners in the PBSP method (some prior training in PBSP is encouraged).  The number of participants is limited to 10.  The north shore of Lake Superior is a very popular tourist area with relatively expensive housing that goes fast.   The session will be meeting in a resort called the Lutsen Sea Villas.  To save money, you can contact Jim directly (jamundsen70@gmail.com) who will help organize people who want to share a condo (the Sea Villas are a collection of condos: see Odysseyresorts.com).  A one bedroom condo, which can easily sleep 4 people, goes for $250 per night.
