This is part of an ongoing training in Minneapolis that is focused on learning the basic methods of PBSP psychotherapy.  There have already been 2 sessions.  The basic foundations include: microtracking, which is "witnessing" and "identifying voices", making reversals, placement of "bookmarks" and "placeholders", using accommodators in structures and accommodation for the basic developmental needs: place, nurturance, support, protection and limits.  The training will be experiential with any theory presentations coming off the practicing of the skills mentioned.  Therapists with all levels of experience with PBSP, beginner to advanced, are welcome.

Future dates are: Feb. 8, April 26 and May 17.  These dates will be put up here so you can register online.

A PERSONAL GROWTH WORKSHOP FOR THERAPISTS

"The Roots of Justice are in the Body”

Applying Pesso-Boyden System Psychomotor Therapy for the Healing of Personal and Cultural Wounds, Part II

    March 16-17, 2025

    Atlanta, GA

Gus Kaufman, Ph.D., senior trainer in Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor therapy (pbsp.compbspamericaconnect.org), will be offering a rare chance for therapists to do personal healing via this powerful, gentle way of emotional re-mapping. PBSP has been endorsed by Dr. Bessel Van der Kolk ‘as the only thing that really works” (see Chapter 18 in The Body Keeps the Score.)

We will meet at The Link Counseling Center in Atlanta for this 2-day workshop on March 16 & 17.

Note: The day before -- March 15, 2025 -- Gus Kaufman will present a 3-hour experiential introduction to PBSP as part of the American Academy of Psychotherapists’ Southern Regional daylong conference at The Link Counseling Center.  These are two separate events. Click here for information on the 3-hour workshop on March 15.

The Sunday-Monday workshop will include 10 full length structures (personal work opportunities) at $375 each, and room for five more persons to be ‘accommodators’ (involved but not having a personal-work turn) at $250. As a framework, I will teach re ‘The Roots of Justice are in the Body”—using PBSP to address: 1) unmet needs/ attachment issues 2) past personal trauma (overwhelming events) and 3) ‘holes in roles’—familial and cultural wounds we carry. This will be a great opportunity for healing community and for learning more of this method.

Space is limited! Contact Gus Kaufman directly to register and reserve your spot. Gus can be contacted at GKaufmanjr@aol.com or 404.483.7457

Send payment to: Gus Kaufman, 682 Elkmont Dr. NE Atlanta, GA 30306. Send $100 to reserve a spot.
