A PERSONAL GROWTH WORKSHOP FOR THERAPISTS
"The Roots of Justice are in the Body”
Applying Pesso-Boyden System Psychomotor Therapy for the Healing of Personal and Cultural Wounds, Part II
March 16-17, 2025
Atlanta, GA
Gus Kaufman, Ph.D., senior trainer in Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor therapy (pbsp.com, pbspamericaconnect.org), will be offering a rare chance for therapists to do personal healing via this powerful, gentle way of emotional re-mapping. PBSP has been endorsed by Dr. Bessel Van der Kolk ‘as the only thing that really works” (see Chapter 18 in The Body Keeps the Score.)
We will meet at The Link Counseling Center in Atlanta. I have submitted a proposal to do a three-hour experiential introduction to PBSP as part of the American Academy of Psychotherapists’ southern regional daylong conference at The Link on the day before--Saturday, March 15, 2024.
The Sunday-Monday workshop will include 10 full length structures (personal work opportunities) at $375 each, and room for five more persons to be ‘accommodators’ (involved but not having a personal-work turn) at $250. As a framework, I will teach re ‘The Roots of Justice are in the Body”—using PBSP to address: 1) unmet needs/ attachment issues 2) past personal trauma (overwhelming events) and 3) ‘holes in roles’—familial and cultural wounds we carry. This will be a great opportunity for healing community and for learning more of this method.
