This presentation will articulate the task of the trauma therapist as providing the client with two basic types/tiers of experiences: (1) a caring dyadic relationship environment which consistently and explicitly embodies the opposite/reverse of what the client has experienced—and creates new data base of positive lived experiences; and (2) the collaborative application of imaginative skills in which traumatic history can be re-worked. The brain’s capacity to suspend disbelief is key to this work.

The presentation will be both didactic and experiential, providing participants wsith practical new options in both the relationship and imaginative dimensions. This presentation will teach skills and understanding from AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dyadic Psychotherapy), and from PBSP (Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor).
